Weekend in may

my weekend started in michigan for my sister in law's bachelorette party!  lots of relaxing and lot of laughs!

jason was at home with the girls doing.....well, girly things.  haha!

i came home to attend a race i'm on the committee for....i did not run this year as i wasn't feeling my best.  but we took the girls on the "fun walk" and had a nice family day!

football, family and more family

friday kicked off papa's football season....the whole fam bam was there and the girls were loving their time with sienna....

 

enjoying some caramel apple suckers that aunt katie got them....

 

running around the field after the game with uncle t-bone....but, of course.

 

aunt steph and sienna already headed to the house so sienna could catch some zzz's....

 

we headed back for drinks and appetizers and eventually called it a night for all of us.  but the next morning we headed back to papa and nana's for breakfast.  and e, again, asked to feed sienna....

 

her plums were a bit sour....tee hee!

 

we couldn't get enough of it.  lol.  poor thing.

saturday was grandpa's birthday....he got some special birthday wishes from his 3 sweet great-granddaughters!

 

with great grandma lorraine and great grandpa john on his 88th birthday!

 

sunday we got together cause uncle doug and adrienne were home....

disney on ice

last saturday we surprised the girls by taking them to disney on ice! we just told them we were going to have a fun family day and hit the road. we told them as we were pulling up to the united center. it was super cute, but i wish we would've told them sooner 'cause they had no clue what "disney on ice" was! duh, mommy! i didn't think that one through, so they STILL didn't really know what to expect. but i assure you - they were pleased!


we bought these tickets for the girls well before christmas....and it happened to fall after a week that they didn'tsomuchdeserveit.

BUT we started fresh and had an awesome day together...

first up.....princess and the frog (e's favorite)

mickey, minnie, donald and goofy were there to initially give us the proper disney welcome and then were introducing each story in a silly way...(ad loves minnie)

next up - cinderella!! (mommy's favorite!)

i also snuck out at this time (before intermission) to grab lunch for us (that we got for free). ad apparently eats hot dogs like popsicles??

lots of family love all around the united center....

and we were feeling it....

and our million dollar popcorn....ok, it was only $10, but still....

and the final performance was - tangled (a family favorite, as it was our first movie theatre movie together)....

they pulled out some fancy stuff....

and the lanterns....

every single prince and princess came out for the finale, plus the disney characters....it was very cool....

and now i'm ready to book disney! :)

i got a bit of the finale on video (my battery ran out)....with every.single.prince.and.princess.there to rock out.....

girls' weekend

j went on an impromptu snowmobiling trip last weekend...

so it was me and my girls....friday night we met our friends abbie, ella and brody for dinner at b dubs...mmm.

saturday morning we headed out for my brothers' wrestling meet. the girls are doing so great at the meets and i've act ually been able to watch this year!

a little lunch after with the fam...

we enjoyed valentine sprinkled donuts....

we played dress up, of course....

and it's not a day in this house without stripping a number of barbies and lining them up on the stairs. ???

while we were out to eat, elena drew a picture of the 3 of us....apparently i ate the most.

sunday night i had a few girlfriends over for some chit chat and company...but adelyn had other ideas for me. she woke up and wasn't listening to my 'go back to bed' request....

we played lots of go fish....ad picked it up no problem!

and e's getting better at "losing..."

we were so happy that daddy got some much deserved time away....

but way happier that he's back with us!
