and then later hanging out in the yard playing.....i of course have to try and get pictures. getting the both of them to look at me at the same time is nearly impossible, but of course they are just too cute...and those eyes sure help! i yi yi!

i love these girls. they really just make my heart skip a beat.

4 months cont...

we had ad's 4 month check up yesterday....all is wonderful of course. dr was impressed with her strength and awareness. she's gained 1/2 lb since her 2 month check up....which had me concerned cuz i have such beastly babies that have such great leaps in this area. BUT she's still in the 75th %ile and at this point they still are just looking for any gain at all. they seemed impressed, where i was like, "what? a measly 1/2 pound?" dr thinks her last weight check was simply inaccurate cuz she was 75th %ile, then shot up off the charts and then back down to 75th %ile. either way, she is healthy and thriving....at whatever rollercoaster pace she wants! ha. she is 14 1/2 lbs and 25 1/2 in long (75th %ile and 90th %ile).

a few more things about my four month old....she is starting to REALLY love her crib, as in she fights sleep anywhere else....she nuzzles my neck when she gets tired, it's one of my favorite little things....she also grabs fist fulls of my hair, a little less than favorable especially when she's right up at the roots, ouchie....she is funny, very very funny for a 4 month old....and she is super ticklish, she just cracks up, i love it.

after her appt yesterday we had our little four month photoshoot....with each outfit change there was a demotion in her happiness...haha. but she is one beautiful baby (and i am not biased at all)! i know they all kinda look the same still, but i cannot pick just a few.

she had enough by this outfit....we'll have to try it again next month.

the evolution of fingerpainting

well, daddy's not the only fun one around here! i can be fun....and brave! we've only done fingerpainting once (i'm not one for messes), last summer. you can check it out here. well, she enjoys this way too much to only do it once a year. we definitly have to make it a regular activity. i encourage ya all to try it with your little ones if you haven't already....and be prepared with your camera.

let's start slow...with just a finger or two...

ready for the whole hand...

and both hands...

she loved this...

we were pretty into just the hands for awhile...don't they look pretty though?!

ok and maybe a few splatters...

really getting into it...

whoops! can't stick fingers in my mouth while FINGERpainting...

might as well do our feet too...

can't forget the tops of our feet...(blue and orange baby!)

looks like their chocolate dipped, don't they?! maybe i'm just hungry for something sweet. ha.

she's LOVING it...

i think she loved the feeling of it...get right in between those toes...

eh, why not up the legs while we're at it...

getting more for the legs...

by the way, do ya see a leg in there anywhere?!

i love this one. an artist at work.

hmmmm....what next?

oh yea - let's do the belly too...

don't forget to get the belly button really good...

oh yea - and of course the arms...

and shoulders... (this is how she washes herself in the bath. apparently paint ='s soap.)

oh and duh - gotta get the face too...

so freaking cute... i gasped rather loudly when she went to the face, that's why the look. lol. i just couldn't believe she did her face.

i'm glad she did. she makes the cutest bearded baby!

she's asking for help up. i let her ask a few times. it was just too cute not to. haha. i don't know why she thought she couldn't put her hands down all of a sudden. lol.

this is the reaction i got when i asked, "can i see your work?" haha.

good thing it was hot. it dried nicely. i think i should let her dress herself in paint more often. i mean we could totally go to the store like this, right?! i think it would make people happy to see a painted toddler.

she's asking to go inside. so you know what that means...

time for a tub...

after she asked to paint again. i said no. and this was the reaction i got...

ugh. ya try and do something fun and you're still the mean mommy. til next time.
