on adelyn's big day.... she woke up and requested donuts!! so we got ready and started out....only to be met by her big birthday present.... an outdoor playhouse!!
we then headed to the "donut store" (as she calls it), where she devoured a giant sprinkled donut. :) from there we headed up to brookfield zoo for the day....miss adelyn even got in for free cause technically she wasn't 3 for like another 38 minutes after we arrived. and ya know, it's all about the details.

we of course sat in the splash zone....
too funny not to share....lanie could not stop herself from dancing....and staring at herself in the mirrors. we were laughing so hard....and so were others around us.
we enjoyed dip-n-dots too!
before we knew it, it was time to head home....
ring-pops kept them awake for the trip home....
and after dinner we opened all the cards that had come in the mail and ones from mommy, daddy and sissy (homemade, of course!)
sang happy birthday....
made a wish and took a chance on the candle....
and enjoyed the pink cupcakes with pink frosting that our big THREE year old requested....
every last bit....adelyn actually eats the entire cupcake (not just the frosting/top) now that she is a big 3 years old!
adelyn's birthday could not have been a more perfect day!
