our thanksgiving

our thanksgiving eve was spent curled up on the couch watching "the curious george movie."

we did plenty of thanksgiving crafts...

we of course baked some desserts....and also miss e worked on a special thanksgiving project...
she wrote out 48 things she was thankful for....we wrapped them up in foil.... and baked them right into our rolls....
she came up with all 48 all by herself!
everyone got to open and read a different thing that miss e is thankful for. uncle t-bone got "pretty things" in this particular roll. ;)

the girls were of course great sports....despite skipping nap, getting soooo much attention and stimulation and bedtime getting pushed....

cheers to a very thankful holiday!
and of course some silliness on this thankful holiday...
with clowns like papa and uncle t-bone, there's lots of silliness....

hope all of you had a great thanksgiving!

there are no words

during this month of thanks....i am incredibly grateful for SO much!!! i easily stumble over my words when trying to verbalize them...

but the relationship between my two kind and loving girls is certainly towards the top of the list...

family sleepover

e and ad picked new rewards for their jars...a manicure, make and eat frankenstien pudding, pick what you want from target dollar bins and....
a family sleepover in the basement when they filled it!
so we got out the air matresses and rented movies and ate plenty of popcorn...
and our girls were crazy lovable.... yes - they're holding hands!
they did for a long time and it maybe was the sweetest thing ever!
until ad of course had to play with e's ear...
but the family sleepover was a success - ok except for adelyn sleep-crawling frantically over my head and onto e's head. took all my might to stop her. the girl's got some sleep muscles!
but all in all it was good! carebears and ice age were the movies watched...and enjoyed!
daddy went up on the couch to try and stay awake....but he was the FIRST one asleep!
i of course was the last one asleep....i got to rock both of my babies to sleep, something i haven't done in a long long long time....and it was wonderful!
that is adelyn on the far left, my spot....elena practically in between the matresses and j on the right. yay for family sleepovers!

run

these are my girls watching a local 10k race...

and who's the happiest runner in this race????

THIS guy....

wouldn't you be?! i didn't win any awards regarding my actual running, but i'm pretty sure i would've got the "spirit" award...ya know, had there been one...

because my family is so awesome. thank you to my girls, my husband and my parents for coming to watch and support me in a 10k last weekend...

i beat my goal by 3 1/2 minutes and they had everything to do with it...
