vacation part 5

day 8
disneyland here we come!!!!

on the tram headed from parking to the park. e loved it so we told her this was a 'ride' to prep her for her day of rides...

first up - disney's california adventure...
tony, devin, drake and landen on "mulholland madness"
i have no idea how tony could spot us and gesture to us
cuz when i went on with my aunty jan, drake and landen i couldn't stop screaming. seriously. i don't know who was louder - me or my aunt.
i could wave to the girls once it was ending...
tony, devin and gina on 'paradise pier'...
there she goes...and yes, tony's hands flew right off his knees.
next up...'toy story midway mania'
it was 3D...how cute are these 3?!
me, my ma and ad were on together...

the girls are being serenaded by an awesome quartet...e could barely keep her eyes open...
and she was out...
ad ended up needing some rocking too, but both were napping...yay!!!
she's up...and quirky as ever...eating luch with devin...
after lunch we headed into disneyland!!! and we went and the exact right time...all the characters were out and about, so we hit up all we could. mickey...
it looks like mickey is backing away from me. maybe he knows donald is my favorite?!
lanie was so super excited about everyone! she went up to each one and said, "hi ___. i'm elena. thank you, ____." it was so sweet. minnie...

it was such a great day! truly such a magical place. and the girls were awesome! slept when they needed to, went on a ton of rides and were happy happy happy! i couldn't believe how much they could do and how much they enjoyed. others told me they would be too young for disney, but let's face it - it doesn't matter what your age. disney is incredible and for EVERY age! another day of amazing memories!

vacation part 4

day 7
we headed to the coast to see the ocean!!! laguna beach...unfortunately, it was our coldest day there. oh well. the girls' first trip to the beach.

they both cried. i don't think they liked how it kept coming up to meet them. i don't know.
i tried again with ad. e was NOT having it...she stayed far far away from the ocean.

after some time at the beach, we headed across the street to bj's for yummy pizza...we think actor richard moll was also dining there...this pic just cracks me up...

the girls were out before we crossed pacific coast highway. landen was shortly after too.
later on landen had another ball game...


and landen and gina took e around the bases after the game...
