cali baby

i left tuesday. and leading up to then i was one anxious momma!! i just can't help it. you know everything's going to be just fine, but it doesn't seem to help.but of course... i made it to cali safely. and heidi picked me up and we headed to gina's....but forgot the camera! she was so surprised and had a GREAT reaction. i'm so sorry we missed it. we learned our lesson and next surprised my aunty jan... who was also SOOO surprised! so fun! i LOVE surprises! i can't believe heidi and i pulled it off! mickey's ear is covering my travel buddy, herman. apparently i wasn't supposed to travel alone - i got a huge pimple right before i left. niiice. gina, me, heidi... and now with their mom, my aunty jan! i love how i never grew up with these girls, but they are 3 of my closest friends!!! it was so wonderful to go soend time with them!!after we headed out for apps and drinks! then wednesday...we picked landon up from school and took him to lunch!! i think our eyes are the same color... ;) after some power shopping with heidi, i got to go watch one of drake's baseball games!! he'll be in the big leagues one day people!it got chilly!! it's a good thing i don't look tired at all with my cute cousins - drake and landen! and the rest of the gang...shane and devin are soooo happy to be taking this picture.this was night 2 of buttery nipples. mmmm. heidi and i on our way to ELLEN!!! we stopped at my aunt's work (the high school) and posed like cheerleaders. cuz we're cool like that. me and my cali girls! yes, i need a tan. on our way... :) driving thru warner brother sudios. the original bob's big boy.we drove right past it and ate at mo's....they had better cocktails! then on to casa christina's for some more cocktails...and shots. we made a friend (the bartender) and were very persistent at getting to see him. ;) woot woot!!! mmmmm. we had to return our cameras to our car. we kept making trips to casa christina's and waited to see the ellen show!!! (which deserves it's own post). so friday morning, it was already goodbye's and back to the airport. :( the trip was so fast. thankfully i didn't sleep much so i didn't miss much! we did all we could possibly do. and i had sooo much fun! and it was just so nice to see my family. wonderful. and so nice to have some me time too. but also so so nice to be welcomed home by 2 little beauties that we're so excited and one handsome prince that held the fort down! thanks so much to my mom and mother-in-law for helping out with the girls while j worked too!!

spring break

i'm taking a break from our regulary scheduled program... and flying out to cali to surprise some very special people in my life.

well i've already flew and already surprised. :) and i'm not even sure i'll believe it either. but i pre-posted. so you'll have to stay tuned to see how it all goes.

outside....finally

we've been enjoying how the nice weather hits only on weekends. ;) these are actually from last weekend...our second go this year (we most certainly tried in our snowsuits this winter! ;)) oh my! how we've missed you swing set... i'll catch you...or not. this is my favorite... again and again and again and again... and adelyn can now climb the wall... not properly of course... such a jokester... that's better... i whip my hair back and forth... i want to, but i'm tired...

i really want to post. i do. lots of things. but i'm sooooo tired.

i could talk about how my body's been on a sleep strike, but i'm too exhausted.

i could talk about how i'm feeling the pressure of summer with girls scout cookies, but it disgusts me.

i could talk about how i don't want to ever send my kids to school, but that would lead to a zillion tangents. seriously, can't they just stay in preschool and that's it?

i could talk about the layers and layers of plaster dust in my house, but that is boring.

i could talk about my expanding home, but then i would have to tell you how my walls don't blend well with my floor. whoops.

i could talk about what a PROUD sister i am of my brother tony for being awarded IL assistant coach of the year, but that would totally embarass him.

i could talk about how ALL i want to do is simplify, simplify, simplify, but man is that a work in progress.

i could talk about how much i love my girls, but it's soooo much that i could make you puke.

i could talk about how i feel guilty for every single decision i make for MYself, but holy cow would that get complicated.

i could talk about how i'm getting slightly better at balancing my life, but it probably isn't enough to make you a believer.

i could talk about how lucky i am for each and every one of you....my family, my friends, my blog readers, but then i'd have to tell you how each of you are so important to me cuz you are.

i could talk about how annoying it is that the ncaa basketball championship game is on so late on a monday night, but then i'd have to bitch about the super bowl being on a sunday night too.

i could talk about a lot of things, but i'd rather check in on my sleeping beauties and go watch the game from my bed while i snuggle with one of the best person's i know.
