fun weekends

the girls and i been having some fun packed weekends lately and this one was no exception. unfortunately daddy worked all weekend, but was home by bath time every night and there's nothing i love more than the giggles i hear coming from the bathroom... e loves being wrapped up after bath as small as she can get...

saturday elena (fingers crossed) made her FINAL decision on her halloween costume, which also secures what adelyn will be. this is 1 of 8 choices (all her ideas) and physically her 3rd costume that we've purchased. we've returned the others and i made it clear that this is it. let's hope it's not a loooong october.

then....we headed to the circus where i learned a) they're not all a joke and b) adelyn is deathly scared of clowns!!! seriously, she FREAKED every time they came out. and not in the 2 1/2 hrs that it was did she get used to them. otherwise she warmed up and clapped for every performance... i don't think elena took her eyes off of the ring once...
she says her favorite part was "the tigers playing leapfrog, the elephants holding hands (tails) and the dancers (which i think was her real favorite - she kept telling me to take pictures)."
little ad, warming up to the circus....but don't dare cue those clowns until she's in mommy's arms...
elena laughing at a clown skit. she didn't stop laughing. it was a tad excessive. the people behind us started laughing at HER laughing...which just prompted her more. and now i'm laughing just thinking about it. and her laughing did distract adelyn from choking me out with her ninja hold around my neck....it (the skit) was like 15 mins long...i could barely breathe. because daddy had to work sunday we missed out on a night out. :( but we made up for it with a movie night with our girls... a strawberry shortcake movie!!!
j and i were asleep by 9, ha. but today....today was excitement around here!!! uh huh! i cleaned out some stuff and brought it to goodwill AND i got every single one of my walls wiped down!!! woo hoo!!! now that is better than any tigers playing leapfrog! who's with me?!! anyone? anyone? well, maybe...

our idea of fun has certainly changed....because it truly was a FUN weekend. we have a very fun weekend ahead too that i can't wait to experience with my girls!! i also was able to get some beautiful (totally un-biased) photos of the girls that i promise to share...

Sounds like lots of fun. I wanted to try the circus but Grey was not feeling his best. Looks like it was a blast.
