some weeks...i have it going on.
dishes are being done as fast as they are being put on the counter...i wash the floors on my hands and knees...dandelion bouquets are handed to me daily...i capture special moments on film...
(e after shopping and lunch with uncle e and aunty steph...)
laundry baskets are empty...bathroom sinks are free of dried toothpaste and teeny tiny man hairs... bills, junk mail and school folders are dealt with promptly...i have time to read a few chapters in my book...
(ad cleaning out her toe jam in the car...)

meals are planned and on the table at a decent time...we are on time to our scheduled activities...i rsvp and order the gift as soon as i get the invite...and i get a closet cleaned out and organized...
(a little sassy fras while coloring!)
kids are bathed, disciplined and well-rested...everything has fully charged batteries and i'm caught up on my dvr...and i still find time to move mountains, part seas and birth a freaking unicorn!
thankyouverymuch.(ad needs 2 clips in her hair while eating cuz she's so messy and she looks so cute!)
other weeks are not so smooth...you could make a loaf of bread from the crumbs on my floors...we are all going commando or pulling clothes to wear right out of the basket cuz laundry is piled high or unfolded...i find a spider in my house and the toe thingy in my flip flops break...
(e crashing after dance class...)
i cry when i look at my calendar and realize all the crap that i have to do - and all the crap that will have to wait cuz of said first crap...i have enough paper including junk mail, bills, school and dance info piled on my counter to make 3 small trees...every door knob and chair is sticky...
(ad decorating a cookie at a fun fair...)
baths and discipline unfortunately take a back seat...i wake up to last night's dinner dishes sitting in the sink...last night's dinner was half-assed and not served til 8pm...
(e at her first drop-off-birthday-party with katie...)
there are smeared handprints painted all over the sliding glass doors...i realize i forgot all my coupons after my entire cart is full and i'm about to checkout...and the scale jumped up 3 freaking pounds!
(jason NOT giving me the finger...the bracelet just doesn't fit and he's playing dress up)

typically it's somewhere in between...everyday is a toss up and sometimes it changes moment to moment.
(e eating a crunchy granola bar with her ears covered....cuz hey, it sounds cool in your head.)
this week is just one of those weeks...where i can't get it together, i've barely found time to brush my teeth or pee, i feel so behind/confused/lost/overwhelmed, and i can't wait for bed (which is sooo not like me).
(ad running away from me/the camera)
thankfully i don't even have time to dwell in these kind of weeks!!!`

i know EXACTLY how you feel!!! ;)
You, my dear, are not alone. I am a hater of the weeks where nothing seems to go my way. Tomorrow is a new day, right?!? Oh and Mikayla picks toe jam out of her toes the same way Ad does--and then she eats it. Apparently she is part monkey. Hope today and tomorrow are sunny in your area so you can fill all of your tanks with vitamin D!
Oh, I hear you! Hang in there. You're doing great! :)
Ummmm, hello friend! This is me the past, let's see, 8 months. Sigh...hoping it gets better!
The kids are happy and I guess that's all that matters!
Ah, yes...isnt it lovely? I have pretty much felt that way since the move back. And now the anxiety of adding another child to this crazy mix here at home is starting to creep up. Hang in there, next week is sure to be better. :) Love!
