too bad neither of them knew about it and didn't get to enjoy the girly perks of sleepovers.tonight was the night. you, with bad sleepers know what i'm talking about! the night that i was going to channel mr ferber with all of my power and might and ferberize my little ad. it was tonight. after several nights in a row and months and months of phasing in and out of my bed enduring sleepless nights...tonight was the beginning of the end. i re-read my infamous sleep book, designed a plan with the baby daddy and pep-talked myself allllll day about it. well...ha ha ha. wouldn't you know in true second born fashion, miss ad had different plans all along.
adelyn was putting up a helluva fight to go to sleep tonight...which is completely normal behavior for her lately and our new routine for sometimes 4+ hours...but she changed it up tonight. little punk is crawling out of her crib. FOUR TIMES actually. all tonight. like a freaking ninja too! total stealth mode. the last 2 i was right at her door - didn't hear a thing. she turns off her fan and shuts the door behind her on the way out. ;) so obviously she can no longer sleep in her crib. after fighting harder to not sleep alone on her floor...i put her in with lanie - who was fast asleep throughout the entire 2 hour circus - cuz afterall, tonight was thee night she was for sure, absolutely, positively, without a doubt NOT sleeping in my room. BUT i never said she couldn't sleep in lanie's room.... adelyn laid right down and fell fast asleep, instantly.
have we discovered the answer to her bedtime maddness? we shall see. i'm certainly not holding my breath. i have a feeling there are more tricks up her sleeve. in the meantime, bless their sister-lovin' hearts. ;)
