big bikes

we are wrapping up this summer with new, bigger bikes. i'm not exactly sure why. they were clearly needed, however, with how fast they grow i worry they'll need even bigger bikes by spring. :(

 

elena got a new bike for her birthday that just seemed absolutely HUGE for her.  so we exchanged it for the next size down and i fear she'll outgrow it by next year.  sigh.  those training wheels will be coming off though so hopefully it will be good size!  adelyn of course got e's hand-me-down bike.  took her a bit to get used to the pedal brakes and she'd stop suddenly.  but she definitely is getting too big for her trike.
