little ad, you are up to, well everything at 17 months old...
- you are really into everything. especially that which you know you shouldn't be into.
- you have a mind of your own. and you know it. and you make sure everyone else knows it. you like to be in control...
- your vocabulary is really taking off. at 16 months i counted over 50 words; and now you're willing to repeat just about anything. you're not a big talker though, only when you have to. you are a quiet one.
- your favorite game is still chase. it never gets old for you and we love hearing you squeal with joy running away from us...
- you are still shy, but warm up easier. you are always fighting back smiles.
- you have THEE sweetest nature 99% of the time. you are one big cuddle bug. you seriously love to hug, kiss and be cuddled. you are asking to be loved all the time and it makes my day! you bury your head in our neck and it's the best. you truly can't seem to get close enough.
- you love to be held still. you'd prefer to be held.
- that other 1% of the time you are adventurous. you love to climb! you do not venture away from us, you are not a wanderer. but you'd climb anything in front of ya.
- you will bring us book after book to be read to you. sometimes you won't sit for long, but we try to eat it up when you do this.
- you recently started sitting in a booster! big girl. although sometimes you eat the placemat instead. you can now be trusted with a plate too.
- you fight back. you're not shy when you're messed with. when someone takes you toy, when you're put down for nap and don't want to be, when you'd rather be doing something else, etc - you fight back!
- your hair seems to have gone thru another growth spurt. it's really getting long. and you're always looking thru your bangs...cuz you refuse clips, ties, bands, etc.
- we are done nursing. as of about 2 weeks ago. meaning, yes - you went a whole week without it while we were in jamaica and didn't miss a beat when we returned. but now we are done.
- you run. like really run. and it's the cutest thing ever. your right arm flies back and forth when you run and it really is the cutest thing ever!
- you answer yes/no questions appropriately. you have the sweetest "yea" ever. i have to get it on tape.
- you really love to color, draw, play with play-doh, paint, etc. you get really into it.
- you love to put things in and out...aka: collect things. you love to gather anything and put it in something, then take it out and repeat.
- if your sister has something you want, you wrap your arms around her waist and hold on for dear life until she gives up....you'll even let her drag you around the house that way. you are persistent.
- you are so persistent that a good portion of our day is us saying, "no" to you. you keep doing whatever it is...again and again. even though you totally know what "no" means!
- you have a really great laugh and you laugh all the time!!
- you shake your head side to side when you get really excited.
- you're following the fam's footsteps and LOVE to dance. as soon as you hear anything that remotely sounds like music you start busting moves.
- you're a very happy girl! you are strong and sweet and make us all smile!!
