sometimes i forget...

ahh, yes....sometimes i forget that daddy needs s.p.e.c.i.f.i.c. instructions. sometimes i forget that daddy doesn't think things through, often missing 'before' steps or not realizing there could be aftermath. sometimes i forget that daddy is a big 'ol kid himself.

yes, i forgot all of this the other day when daddy and elena went to EMPTY the kiddie pool. and after they didn't promptly return, i walked outside to this...

"what mom? were totally just emptying the pool...."

"right after daddy spins me around in it..."

"see, we're getting all the water out..."


"nope. no swimsuit. just swimming right in my clothes. it was all daddy's idea."

"empty, empty, empty... the daddy way..." (who's having more fun here?!)




"daddy, you're a genius at emptying the pool!"



if i would have been the one to empty the pool with elena...

haha. i'm so glad that i sometimes forget. how lucky my girls are with such a fun daddy!
