meeting santa

is quite the drawn out experience for 2 little cuties that are rightfully timid of the big guy.

santa comes and leaves toys by our tree - sweet. sit on santa's lap and talk to him - don't think so.

so we started the coercion process off right. we went to see "tangled!" the girls did really really great at their FIRST movie in the theatre.
after we headed through the mall to santa's spot...
ad wanted to march right up there! she was trying to cut in line and we had to literally hold her back. e however, it took e 25 mins of grooming...and it ended with "you don't have to talk to him, just take a picture with him." she was ok with that. we got in line and up we went...

santa remembered daddy and it eased e into sitting on his lap and answering "dollhouse" to his every question...hand in mouth, of course. and ad...well, i just told the camera girl "be quick with the picture" and then i told santa "hold on tight to this one." you'll see he has both hands gripped securely.

after....a reward, of course.
and then let's compare. i'm pretty sure ad has the exact same face. like, exact. she can scream a little louder this year. and e is definitely less nervous. yay. and their hair - really grows a lot in a year!
