we were hoping to be looking at out at spring. ha. snow has been falling since we woke up. ah well. at least we enjoyed it while we could. we are now back to enjoying the outdoors from indoor. and elena does just that. she's been pretending, imagining and dreaming up all kinds of things this whole winter. we've been exploring, going through a safari or hiding from a bear for months. no matter what we're playing - tea parties, parades, etc - they all include animals!
it's been safe to say that elena has a great love for animals. she always has. at just 9 months old, elena knew FOUR animal sounds....cow, chicken, monkey and sheep. she's been learning animal facts steadily since....and even corrects us.
she pretends to take care of animals and pretends to see animals - right in our neighborhood...

her love for animals is very sweet. a few weeks ago at the store i let elena pick out 2 new movies...we had narrowed it down to 'Tinkerbell,' 'Madacasgar,' 'Jungle Book' and 'Aladdin.' and instead of the princess movies, she picked 'Madacasgar' and 'Jungle Book.' she just loves animals! [i wonder what miss ad's interest will be!]
now hopefully elena's memory isn't as good as her knowledge of animals, cause the movies will be in their Easter baskets. psssh.

A vet perhaps?! How cool! And something tells me she will remember that you bought that movie but maybe she won't put 2 and 2 together? She seems too bright to let it slide! Lol
Ahh- I love that picture of Ad. It's so precious! You have such beautiful girls!
