proud momma

i am just swollen with pride tonight!! my girls never cease to amaze me.

i had written the letter I during our craft this morning and elena asked if she could have a turn...she usually just wants to get straight to the gluing, etc. to my surprise she got right to it and wrote the letter I. (her's are in purple, mine are in green)...
so i jumped on our little sidetrack and went to town. because she could write I, she learned T...
and also because she wrote I, i taught her U so she could write... (how cute is that?!!)
she also wrote H and C since really it's just a matter of placement. but she doesn't get that yet.

SO...i went ahead and taught her her name. and she just got it! this was her first take...the L is between the E's, the A is on top and the N is bottom left...
sure, they are not in order, backwards, and all over the place... but she kept writing them and writing them and writing them...AND WROTE HER NAME!!!
i never touched her hand to help. she wrote these letters all by herself!
i can't believe it! i'm so proud of her! looks like our craft time will now include practicing writing! wow!!

AND miss adelyn took FIVE steps today...
the most she's taken by herself...
she walks at a little bit of an angle...
and a smile on her face the whole time...
and comes right to my open and VERY PROUD arms!!

way to go ad!!!

wow!! what a day for my momma heart...it is beaming!
