one year old

one year old adelyn!!! i really can't believe it. you are just soooo much, i know it's not possible to sum ya all up here...but here goes.

your appt isn't for another few weeks, but i think you're weighing close to 19 lbs. you wear size 3 diapers, 12-18 month clothes and size 3 shoes. your carseat remains rear facing, but your skinny little legs are needing more room, so hopefully you hit that 20 pound mark soon!

you love pasta, bread and fruit! you love love love fruit, especially blueberries and kiwi! you just got to try strawberries and raspberries this week and you of course love them! you throw your food to your furry brothers when you're done, and it's always your vegetables.

you are just full of spunk! so fiesty, but a happy girl! you have the funniest faces. we get such a kick out of how unbelievably animated you are...

you have laughing bursts. out of no where, you will bust out a big fake laugh and wait for us to follow suit. it's hilarious.

you're still a fabulous sleeper. you nap twice a day and sleep 12 hours at night. you just recently started not letting me rock you. you push off to go in your bed, but you love your back rubbed. you always need a minute when you wake up...you greet me with a big neck hug and then usually lay your head on my shoulder for awhile.
you're social when you want to be. usually it's from a distance. you like your momma. you are often very clingy and want to be carried around. and i do and i like it. i am cherishing every moment of it actually!

you are so very ticklish! it's the best! you just laugh and laugh and laugh! you invite us to tickle you all the time.
you still put everything in your mouth, although it's slowing a tad. when i come after you to retrieve it, you run away from me... you LOVE to carry around socks! you somehow find socks and carry them around everywhere.
you are constantly getting yourself into, um, situations...seriously, you get stuck all the time cuz you are trying to do the craziest things...
you still love your thumb. you are usually pulling on your ear too - even while you sleep, meaning your hand is under your head to go to sleep. it's so sweet.
you sign 'milk,' 'night-night' and 'more,' but only sometimes in context. i think you just like to sign them to get a reaction out of us. you shake your head 'no' and point to whatever you want. you've said, "up" and "ba-bye," but don't say them a lot.

you hold your hand out for i-don't-know-what all day long... i just love it. you love hearing us label everything while you hold your hand out for it or point to it...
you have big big dreams...i can just tell. i hope that always stay so passionate...you will accomplish some of your dreams sooner than later...and i can't wait to encourage you...
you throw tantrums like a champ... and i wouldn't have it any other way!
sometimes you get so mad when you can't do/get what you want that you make this pout face...i just can't help but love it...
you still get most comments on your eyes and cheeks. your hair is really growing and is constantly in your eyes...you won't keep clips in for anything though...
you see a mirror and you're automatically giving that pretty lady kisses...no one can blame ya.
you are a super fast crawler. you cruise along everything. you walk along walls and everything. you much prefer to be on your feet, but aren't walking. you take steps between close things and you will step out from cruising to the middle of the room, but take 2-5 steps and go down. you squat a lot and will just stay squatting or go up and down to test yourself. you stand for long periods of time and you're still a champion climber...
